MEET JIM

DJ Jim Frick is a Minneapolis-based DJ and music curator whose work bridges club culture and large-scale event environments. With nearly twenty years in audio and nightlife, he’s shaped sound for dance floors, listening rooms, and immersive spaces, from late-night club sets to conference lounges and branded listening bars.

Alongside his DJ work, Jim has spent those same years working with luxury audio brands and sound systems, staying close to how music is produced and played back. That background informs his DJing with thoughtful pacing, warm textures, and selections that build a mood without resorting to the obvious.

From small rooms to big moments.

Jim provides soundtracks for club nights, private events, and weddings with a focus on atmosphere, energy, and thoughtful music curation. Each event’s music is built around the tracks and genres that matter most to the client, creating an experience that feels considered and personal rather than a recycled playlist. His approach is shaped by years of playing both small rooms and large events, giving him the ability to guide the night with confidence.

Every booking begins with a conversation about the client’s taste, the mood they want, and the moments that matter most. That collaboration shapes everything from ceremony selections and cocktail-hour playlists to dinner ambience and the direction of the dance floor.
